I have a well maintained old house (1858) with a concrete floored basement that is completely dry -- except for one wet corner. It's been suggested that this corner lies over a spring. Recently, I had a sump pump installed in this corner. The sump pump appears to be working fine -- except for one odd thing. Since the pump was installed, the corner almost seems to be wetter than before. Is this possible, did digging the hole for the pump somehow cause the spring to flow with a greater volume, or is it my imagination? This is what I need you to inspect and advise on. Also, I'd like a quote on constructing a french drain to divert the sump pump discharge underground and away from my foundation.

Looking to waterproof my basement. Possible french drain installment on at least one side of my house. Want to protect my foundation from corrosion.

We have an old home (1860s) with a detached cellar that needs waterproofing and potentially insulating. No major issues, but it's something we want to get out ahead of! I left a phone message with similar information -- would love to get an estimate from you in the next week.

For the last few rain storms, our basement has been taking water through the cement blocks. We had the house, including the basement walls sealed by ZeroDraft, and they added a new door in the basement, but their work may just be a coincidence; the house is coming up on its 50th year since being built. Our insurance adjuster isn't sure if the basement walls just need to be sealed, or if the foundation needs to be excavated. Hopefully not since there is a porch and a generator over and next to the one wall that seems to be leaking... Anyways, looking for a quote. The basement had wood paneling added 45 years ago, but we have only used the space for storage over the last 25 years. Not sure if it's a service you offer, but once it's dry again, I would like to cover the walls with sheetrock as it appears you've done in the picture on your web site. The floor tiling could probably go too (and there's old furniture and junk that needs to be removed in case you have a company you work with on that too). Thank you!

Large unfinished basement in modern home (built 2005) in Cazenovia, NY.
We have been in the house for 6 weeks only and after 2 heavy down pours have had numerous water puddles in the basement. The basement doesn't have a sump pump. We want to be able to keep our basement dry during all weather, without having to worry about every rain storm.
